SCFHC Welcomes New CEO


South Central Family Health Center (SCFHC) announced that the Clinic’s Board of Directors has appointed Genevieve C. Filmardirossian to serve as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2024.  The Board named Mrs. Filmardirossian Interim CEO in January.

 

Mrs. Filmardirossian, a highly-accomplished and seasoned federally qualified health center leader, has been with SCFHC since 2006. As the Chief Operating Officer and Associate Executive Director, she oversaw and led all aspects of clinical operations, administrative functions, and support services. Over the years, Mrs. Filmardirossian also provided leadership with human resources, risk management, and regulatory compliance.


Mrs. Filmardirossian said, "SCFHC is a leading medical, dental, and behavioral health provider in South Los Angeles serving all members of the community with quality healthcare services regardless of their ability to pay. I have a deep belief in our mission, and I look forward to working with the leadership team and our partners to continue strengthening our clinics, driving excellent service delivery through operational discipline and execution that will improve growth and deepen our impact in the community. My focus will be on providing the best medical care to the community, serving more than 26,000 patients, our workforce, and the sound operations of SCFHC.”

She was instrumental in growing our clinic from one site to eleven thriving clinics across the Greater Los Angeles region. Mrs. Filmardirossian succeeds Richard A. Veloz as CEO. He retired after 22 years of service
