As parents and caregivers, we all want to keep our child as healthy as possible. Vaccines play a big part in helping keep children safe from serious illness. It is natural to have questions about vaccines for your baby.
Ask your child’s health care provider these questions about vaccines to help you make the best choices for your child’s health.

Babies Can Get Free Vaccines
The Vaccines for Children (VFC) program provides vaccines to children whose parents or guardians may not be able to afford them. This helps make sure that all children and teens can receive doctor-recommended vaccinations at no cost.
Can My Baby Get Free Vaccines?
Any child who is 18 years or younger and meets one of these requirements:

Los Bebés Pueden Recibir Vacunas Gratuitas
El programa Vacunas para Niños (Vaccines for Children Program, VFC) proporciona vacunas a niños cuyos padres o tutores no pueden pagarlas. Esto ayuda a garantizar que todos los niños y adolescentes puedan recibir las vacunas recomendadas por los médicos sin costo.
¿Puede mi bebé recibir vacunas gratuitas?
Cualquier niño menor de 18 años que cumpla uno de estos requisitos:

Data shows infants across L.A. County fell behind on well-baby visits during the pandemic and have not caught up. Missing these essential primary care checkups means many infants are not fully up to date on routine immunizations. The result is unprotected babies – placing them, their families and communities at risk for preventable disease and outbreaks.
LACMA and its community partners are joining forces to raise awareness of the Vaccines for Children program and deliver resources to its physicians and their patients to impact and improve the health of our community.
