
Our Mission
The LACMA Women Physicians Issues and Advocacy Committee is dedicated to inspiring all LACMA members to support, mentor, and advance women physicians in leadership; to encourage their interest and active participation in organized medicine; to advance their role in political and legislative advocacy; and to promote women physicians as leaders.
Values
The Women Physicians Issues and Advocacy Committee's vision is to build a future where women physicians lead with confidence, shape healthcare policy, and drive innovation across Los Angeles and beyond, creating healthier communities through compassionate and inclusive care.
Goals

To increase LACMA women physician members

To increase the number of women physicians involved in top medical leadership positions

To support the representation of women physicians in boards, commissions, and public office

To champion gender equity initiatives, including advocating for physician compensation parity and sustainable work-life integration, that support women physicians.

To support policy advancement and education for women physicians

To increase opportunities for mentorship that support career advancement for women physicians

To become the leading primary resource for women physicians

To advocate for women’s health issues that impact women physicians and their patients in Los Angeles county
